Who travels with us?

People just like you! People seeking stimulating work and travel experiences.

Some are 'Gap Year' students: people who have places at college or university and want to take a year out before starting their studies. Many would like to see the world properly, learn new skills, a new language, meet new people, and learn about different cultures and locations.

Others come to us for help in finding paid work experience or an internship overseas - attracted by our work or language assistant programmes that will allow them to gain a unique skill, and potentially help with their future employment plans.

A growing segment of our customers are older, more experienced people, who want a break from the stressful pressures of work. They are often excited by the idea of escaping their ordinary lives for a while and embarking on a rewarding career break.

No matter what their motivations are for choosing to travel, our participants ultimately come to Twin Work & Volunteer because they want to experience something different. For example, they may be aware that on a world scale they are comparatively fortunate, and are therefore motivated to give something back, maybe by participating in a community or conservation project.

Whether you're 18 or 80, Twin Work & Volunteer is able to cater for your needs. All we ask is that you maintain a mature, dedicated and respectful attitude to your chosen overseas programme.
