The Surf School is located on the long pristine white beaches of Muizenberg, Cape Town. Muizenberg is known for its gentle consistent waves, making it Perfect for learning how to surf and teaching children how to surf. Upon arrival in Cape Town, you will be met at the airport by one of our team members and taken to the project. During the first week you will receive your induction. You will find out about the area, good places to visit and get taken on a free orientation adventure around Cape Town. During you stay you will be assisting in: Teaching the less fortunate and underprivileged how to surf 2 to 3 times a week. Volunteers are needed for surf instruction and various activities including caring for surfing equipment and taking bookings at the lodge/hostel. There will also be chances to get involved in various other community outreach projects that the Lodge operates. You will also have the opportunity to get involved at the dynamic hostel and gain experience in the tourist Industry, whilst having the chance to meet other travellers from all over the World and work with other volunteers as a team. The day starts with a free breakfast between 8:00-9:30 and then follows with teaching children on the beach how to surf and play safe in the ocean. In your spare time you can relax on the beach, visit the waterslides on the beach front, play mini golf, hike up the mountain to see the caves/waterfalls, visit the penguins, go on a wine tour, experience cape towns wildlife, go for a paddle ski on the river, cycle around the village or simply relax at the lodge.
