2 & 3 day Introduction to TEFL course Standing up in front of a class is like being put on a stage in front of an audience. If you are not sure of what you are doing it can be very daunting. What should be a rewarding experience can often degenerate into a lesson that is less than satisfactory, leading to loss of confidence, a bruised ego, and anxiety between working days. So don’t be unfair on yourself…... More importantly, don’t be unfair on your students by subjecting them to unprepared and uninformed teaching. Our 2 day Introduction to TEFL Course will give you confidence to walk into the classroom well prepared, so that both you and your students feel a sense of satisfaction and achievement when the lesson concludes. Our syllabus is taught in a clear and accessible manner, concentrating on practical aspects of lesson planning, classroom management, language and structure, choice of materials, error correction, and proof of learning. These essential components give you the foundation necessary for successful and enjoyable teaching. In addition, our pre-course tasks are designed to improve trainees’ knowledge of language and grammatical structure prior to the course. They also save valuable course contact time and ensure maximum advantage can be taken from each training session. If you decide to take Twin’s 3 day Introduction to TEFL courses you will gain valuable experience from observation of experienced teachers as well as personal teaching practice with Twin Group overseas students. A short optional online module which covers key aspects of English Grammar providing expert advice on how best to teach this complex subject to students worldwide. An invaluable addition to any TEFL teachers skill set. Grammar, to the native English speaker is an almost instinctive skill and comes naturally to native English speakers, but it can be a tough subject to teach and can at times be described as “boring”! This course is specifically designed to break down the complexities of English grammar, so you can effectively communicate the key principles to your students with ease. This optional 20-hour online course re-introduces you to the fundamental structures and concepts that underpin the English language and will effectively prepare you to teach these same lingual models to your students. “It has made me really look at English grammar and I'm getting to grips with it! Doing the course has increased my confidence in being able to teach English as a foreign language.“ Mrs Jane Riverton This short course will help you appreciate the importance of grammar and enable you to create and deliver lessons that will bring any subject to life.
