Volunteer placements in New Zealand...

Miles of virgin beaches and unexplored forests, the youngest country in the world.

New Zealand is deemed to be one of the youngest countries in the world. It is thought that the first settlers were the Polynesian people, now known as the Maori who settled on the islands around 800 AD. New Zealand consists of two main islands (North and South) and a number of smaller surrounding islands some of which are still uninhabited.

New Zealand is a country of rare natural beauty and is home to striking mountains, clear lakes and rivers and miles of untouched coastline. It has also been recognised by the United Nations as the greenest country on Earth and this is certainly reflected in both their environmental policies and stunning wilderness areas.
