Business Administration Internship, London
Our Business Administration Internship is a great opportunity for EU citizens to come to the UK and experience working life in a business atmosphere. All placements are available in London, so you will benefit from working in one of the world’s busiest cities.
If you want to gain your first experience working in an office environment, this could be the ideal internship for you! Available to those who have a B1 level of English, the course will help to improve your time management and communication, and will encourage you to work as part of a team. You will spend 3-5 weeks in a small to medium sized business where you will benefit from a true office working environment. This internship will give you the chance to practise your English, as well as build up your vocabulary to include work-related words and phrases.

What if I don’t have a B1 level of English?
If you don’t currently have an intermediate level of English, this doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to do work experience in the UK. You can come and study at our British Council Accredited English school in London in order to improve your language skills, so that you have a better chance of gaining a placement. We have a range of courses available including one-to-one lessons and specialist programmes so you can find the course that best suits your needs.

Dates and duration
- Business administration internships are available throughout the year
- Placements start every Monday
- It is advisable that you book your work experience placement at least four weeks in advance
- Minimum age: 16yrs+
- English Level: IELTS 3.5+ (B1)/Intermediate Level
- Visa Requirements: EU Nationals only
You will attend an induction at our training centre in Greenwich on your first day. Here, we will brief you on your placement, travel, accommodation and health & safety processes so that you are fully prepared and can settle into your placement efficiently.
Our Business Administration Apprenticeship is a great choice, as the placements provided give candidates a chance to experience work in a true office environment. You will carry out a variety of duties throughout your placement, such as:
- Updating spreadsheets
- Handling of phone calls
- Data entry
When you carry out your work experience with twin, you will benefit from our lively social programme which includes a wide range of things to see and do. This is a great opportunity for you to meet other work experience students as well as those studying at our English school. Activities on the programme include:
- Visits to London attractions
- Walking tours
- Cinema evenings
- Pub nights
- Weekend excursions
- Trips to the West End for the theatre
Accommodation and Food
We are able to arrange homestay accommodation with one of our trusted homestay hosts. This is a great opportunity for you to experience the varied British Culture and for you to practise your English outside your placement. Our homestays are all within easy reach of Central London so you can explore the city with ease; and the extensive transport links throughout London make it easy to reach other parts of the UK by train or coach.
In addition to our homestays, we also have residential accommodation available, throughout London. Our residences have been carefully selected for the services and amenities that they offer as well as the location and transport links. You can choose from studios, single and twin rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms. All of our residential accommodation options include a shared kitchen and most have common areas where you can meet other people from the UK and around the world.
Flights, Transportation & Visas
Flights/travel are not included in the price of the Business Administration Internship.
Travelling to London is easy as there are five airports to choose from, all of which have excellent transport links for onward travel. You can choose from:
- Heathrow Airport
- Gatwick Airport
- Stansted Airport
- London Luton Airport
- London City Airport
Some students may also be able to take the Eurostar train from France and Belgium to St Pancras International. There are also coach services available to Victoria coach station from various European locations.
Safety & Insurance
- We provide 24-hour emergency support from the UK and our partners provide support locally.
- If any wider safety concerns arise in the destination, such as civil disturbances or natural disasters, we seek advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and implement their recommendations where appropriate.
- We recommend that all travellers take out appropriate insurance before travelling
